Meridian Bank · FY1–FY4 · Confidential — board only
You run the bank for the next four years.
The situation. Meridian is a mid-sized universal bank. Performance is respectable, the franchise is solid — and the board believes it is drifting. Growth is pedestrian, costs are sticky, and a challenger is circling your best customers.
The constraint. You have the bandwidth for two strategic decisions per year. Every decision moves more than one number, and some consequences won't arrive until later years. Choose what to do — and what not to.
The permission. This is a bank you're allowed to break. Nothing here reaches the real world — that's the point. Four years takes about five minutes.
Six board metrics define a successful run. You get two decisions per year, four years to shape the bank. Your persona changes your starting position and how the system responds.
